Share The World's Resources was interviewed on VoiceAmerica talk radio about the reasons for founding the organisation, what economic sharing means, and the practical application of sharing as a solution to the interlocking crises facing humanity. Hosted by Audrey E. Kitagawa on the weekly show Our Sacred Journey.
Rajesh Makwana and Adam Parsons of Share the World’s Resources discuss how a new economic paradigm based on the principle of sharing is fundamental to resolving the interlocking social, environmental and security crises that humanity faces, in particular the growing disparity between rich and poor and the needless deaths of millions of people from poverty-related causes. They argue that the current trajectory of unbridled competition between nations over scarce resources and unsustainable consumption patterns is degrading our planet and must be urgently transformed, which requires a fairer sharing of wealth, power and resources both within and between countries. In this wide-ranging dialogue they maintain that ending life-threatening deprivation is a moral imperative that must become a foremost global priority, and the increasing focus on sharing holds the potential to unite the world’s environmental, peace and justice movements under a universal call for world repair and renewal.
